A 60-strong team dedicated to
improving customer service
A new service unit is paving the way for targeted customer orientation at EPLAN Software & Service. "Professional
Services" is the name of a team of 60 people dedicated to pre-sales, after-sales, training, consulting and customer
solutions. The new unit stands for professional services from a single source, with uncompromising devotion to customer
requirements.
Special customer requirements prompted us to develop this new
service department. The various different service units, which used to operate independently of one another, have now joined
forces to ensure uniform, technically sound expertise and fast handling capabilities. With "Professional Services", customers are
assured of support on every aspect of their individual work processes, from A through to Z.
In pre-sales competent product engineers are on hand to ensure that customers are correctly advised when selecting a
system. The training section offers a range of different training courses to facilitate fast, optimum use of the software. This
includes basic training for beginners as well as new, creative training courses regarding
DATA Engineering and I/O bus topology. The curriculum offered by the training section also
includes individual, customised training courses. Over 600 events each year are testimony to the competence and
capabilities of our training network spanning eight cities.
One new highlight in the area of consulting is the EPLAN
implementation concept with productivity guarantee for the customer. This involves the preparation of a "timetable" for the
introductory period of EPLAN, containing defined performance
phases which have been tailored to the customer's specific requirements. EPLAN Software & Service helps to ensure that a
precise level of productivity is achieved with the software by a given date, as jointly specified with the customer in the
implementation concept. The newly developed DATA Engineering service also offers valuable benefits for customers:
Relevant design data is edited outside of EPLAN
in Excel, bringing with it additional new functions and enormous time-savings in the area of data management. Other consulting
services also include standardisation concepts, interface management and the EPLAN SAP R/3 link.
As part of another brand new service, EPLAN Software & Service are also offering to transfer old or third-party documentation into
newer versions of EPLAN. Entire
conventional databases can now be revised and returned to the customers in EPLAN
format. This relieves customers from the tedious task of re-entering project
data, which is instead supplied on their behalf by EPLAN Software & Service.
In the area of customer solutions, experienced development professionals are available to carry out specific software projects
at the customer's request. As well as individual enhancements to the EPLAN
application, special software solutions not directly related to the EPLAN environment can also be developed on
request.
Customer orientation is the guiding principle behind all services in the new unit. EPLAN Software & Service supports the customer
throughout the entire work process, for improved efficiency and easier handling. The "Professional Services" team provides
greater scope for individual enquiries, a more up-to-the-minute range of technical services, and the reassurance of a partner
who responds to market requirements with continuity and expertise.
